Gerard Miles McKinnell Launches Cambodia’s First-Ever Mobile Art Gallery in Kampot

Cambodia’s art scene marks a new milestone with the launch of the country’s first-ever mobile art gallery, curated by fine art photographer Gerard Miles McKinnell. Located along the Kampot Riverside, beside the old bridge and the Tourist Information Centre, the gallery is positioned to welcome both locals and international visitors.

McKinnell’s fine art beach photography and abstract shoreline collections are now presented in a unique mobile format, bringing his work directly into the public space. The gallery showcases a diverse range of images—from contemplative coastal landscapes to abstract explorations of space and time—printed on premium materials including JC Media microporous satin paper, canvas, and aluminium.

In a notable collaboration, the Governor of Kampot is supporting the initiative by presenting McKinnell’s artworks as gifts to visiting dignitaries and distinguished guests, further strengthening Kampot’s growing cultural and artistic profile.

More than just an exhibition space, the mobile gallery provides a dynamic and accessible way for the community to engage with fine art, reflecting a broader vision of making contemporary art visible, approachable, and rooted in its place.

Visitors are invited to experience McKinnell’s work along the Kampot Riverside—an innovative celebration of creativity, shaped by McKinnell’s distinctive artistic vision.
